Ghost flights criticised

Leading American airline Delta was criticized by environment campaign group The campaign for better transport for flying ghost flights to UK. To comply with Australian aviation rule which require flights into Australia to be disinfected to ensure insects such as mosquitoes are not brought to Australia, Delta flights empty Boeing 777 jet to Heathrow airport in London to be disinfected. The company could not do it locally in America as the US law does not allow the use of the disinfectants require to comply with Australian aviation regulations.
